Ring, ring! Pick up it's Santa! Santa will be calling children on the Nice List on Monday, December 14 through Wednesday, December 16 from 5:30-8pm. Reservations are required and spots are limited to Laguna Niguel residents only. Deadline to register will be Thursday, December 10 at 5 pm. Entry forms must be submitted via mail or email.

This presentation will describe mood symptoms and disorders as they affect older adults. The discussion will consider healthy aging and wellness and will distinguish usual healthy mood changes from symptoms that suggest a more concerning psychiatric syndrome. Risk factors for depression are considered. Contemporary treatments for depression are discussed, along with the typical course of treatment response. The overlap between mood disorders and memory changes of aging is also discussed.
