La Paz Road Road Mobility Enhancements & Permanent Repair Project - Community Meeting #1

March 24, 2025 - 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Sea Country Senior & Community Center

At this first Community Meeting, project information was shared and community feedback was received. If you were unable to attend the meeting, you can still review the information that was shared. Meeting Stations

Meeting attendees were invited to visit five stations to learn about the project and provide input. Below, you can view the same information that was shared in person. Click on any board to enlarge it.

Station 2 BackgroundStation 2 - Mobility Design Ideas

This station showcased design ideas focused on improving mobility and access along La Paz Road. These ideas are intended to make it safer and easier for everyone to walk, bike and travel through the area.

At the in-person meeting, attendees were invited to review different options and share their preferences by placing a sticker under the features they preferred.

3.0_Station 3_WebStation 3 - Roundabouts

This station introduced modern roundabout concepts being considered for La Paz Road. The boards explain how roundabouts can improve safety and traffic flow, along with potential locations where they could be added.

This station shared options for landscaping, sidewalk and trail materials, and other design features being considered for La Paz Road. These elements aim to enhance the appearance of the roadway while supporting the City's sustainability goals. The project is also pursuing Envision certification, which recognizes sustainable infrastructure projects.

At the final station, attendees were invited to review and provide feedback on preliminary concepts for the future design of La Paz Road. Each concept shows a different approach to roadway repairs, mobility enhancements and safety improvements.
