Services

At the Sea Country Senior and Community Center we provide many free services. Please call the Front Desk at (949) 425-5151 to get more information and make appointments. The services include:

Grief CounselingCareCHOICES administers free grief support groups that provide a safe, supportive space to connect with others who understand the challenges of loss. Led by an experienced facilitator, these groups offer open conversation and companionship in a comforting, informal setting.First and Third Tuesday, every month from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Health Insurance & Medicare Counseling (HICAP)

Southern California Council on Aging offers assistance with the following:

  • Counseling on Medicare benefits, cost-saving options, and long-term care services
  • Advocacy for denial of medical coverage and problems with payments to providers, assistance with Medicare appeals, and Medicare fraud and abuse referrals
  • Community education, including Roadmap to Medicare classes and HICAP services and site availability across Orange County

First and Third Monday, every month from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Human Services

City of Laguna Niguel offers the following human services to individuals experiencing homelessness or at-risk of homelessness:

  • Crisis Support
  • Collaboration with the County or other community providers for mental health services
  • Substance abuse resources and advocacy connection to community programs and support groups
  • Housing assistance: rental assistance and affordable housing connections
  • Shelter connections
  • Food and clothing resources
  • Documentation support
  • Assistance with employment and completing job applications

Legal Aid
Legal Aid Society offers advice on issues including:

  • Government benefits
  • Health
  • Housing
  • Consumer problems
  • Wills
  • Elder abuse
