Drought-tolerant Landscapes

Natural Landscapes

Native plants are the foundation for nature restoration. Over time, they help create a working natural ecosystem, without pesticides and without artificial fertilizers, while supporting the City’s water conservation efforts. This butterfly monument at the Crown Valley Community Center (right) is surrounded by native plants that attract butterflies and bees, which are natural pollinators.

Drought-tolerant Landscapes

When updating park landscapes, Public Works opts for drought-tolerant and low-maintenance native plants.
